Yeah... people shouldn’t underestimate Argentina, who are more than just Messi. Many great players, and youngsters coming up. I’m glad they won.

Absolutely. The old sage leading on a band of young and upcoming players to fame made for a very nice story - not unlike the last WC, when a new star was born in Mbappé.
I still can't get over the fact that you can have France, the best overall lineup on the planet, as your opposition, allow Mbappé to score thrice, and still win. They'd be deserving champions just for that.

I was on a train so missed it, but apparently Ally McCoist pointed out that it was the first hat trick in a final where all three goals went over the line.
