There was a discussion on BBC Asian Network* today about whether you can put ketchup on Indian food. The answer appears to be "sometimes" but not on ice cream, even if your uncle likes it.
*the tunes are always cheerful, if your Hindi/Urdu is rudimentary they could be singing about their granny getting raped at Partition but the song still sounds cheery. And the news acknowledges there might be a UK beyond the M25.
