Could not connect to the database
I saw where Glom was having trouble connecting. Is this the case for me, too? Or am I being denied all access to lurking?

That error means something it hosed.

You're probably right, Lance.
I think mickal555 is right about the IP ban, but I don't think the BA resorts to those unless the banned person keep trying to come back under different names.
Regardless, an IP ban wouldn't look like a database failure I don't think.

It's not an IP bann
It is definetly something on the BA's side. It means you can't access mySQL databases.
The odd thing is that it is working fine for about 51 other people

Yeah cause I'm looking at the IP Ban sign right now. BA Banned a group of dial-up IP's that my ISP uses and so I get that message about once a day. The first time I nearly had kittens thinking I'd done something really wrong and gotten myself banned, now it's just a pain in the neck.

I'd say it's very similar to the BABB (except we can debunk GLP with a silent passion). For the Candy Land section, we need the power posters that we had in BABBling to get it going (like the boys from the UK, Germany and Belgium). I really like the Science and Technology section. I wanted to post about nano-technology, but I would need it explained to me in Candy terms. I'm curious, but a simpleton. I like the Astronomy section, too, 'cept nobody is helping me stalk the famous Dr. Brian Cox (Deep Impact). :P
