Final Jeopardy

Postby Superluminal » Sat Jul 22, 2006 2:07 am

Anybody catch Jeopardy today?

The final Jeopardy category was: They were honored by a NYC ticker tape parade.

The clue was: They were honored in an August 23, 1969 parade, but on July 20th 1969, he was miles from the other two.

Nobody got it correct. Unbelievable.

Looked to be middle aged. Two men one woman. One was a librarian, one was a historian, don't remember what the third was.

Well, I don't know about that. I mean, one could know almost everything there is to know about the moon landings and takeoffs, and still not know when and where the award ceremonies are. I mean, I didn't know the answer to the question, but I suck at Jeapordy anyways; it asks far too many pop-culture related questions usually, and is pretty esoteric in the other questions.

Reread it Lonewulf. The answer is in it. The date of the moon landing is in the second half. If you know that, then the rest is easy.

I didn't know "when and where the award ceremonies are", but it is easy enough to deduce from the context.

It's Jeopardy, the answer is always in it.

She's right. The contestant has to supply the question. :D

One question Super. I didn't see the show. Were the contestants totally clueless or did they just not remember one or more of the astronauts names? I mean Aldrin and Armstrong are easy since they were actually on the moon. Collins is a little harder to remember since he was stuck in orbit.

No, they seemed pretty confident in what they said. Although the guy who said Al Bean looked a little stunned, but it could have been that he would have won, if he hadn't wagered so much money.
