Damn, they don't have my size.

If these catch on, eventually there will be a child that dies in a house fire because he thought he was invulnerable. What a tragedy that will be.
No trees were killed in the posting of this message.
However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

We need our own style of clothing, a shield of "science", trousers of "tolerance", a coat of "conscience" and a hat of "hilarity" . . . or maybe not.

Hmm.

Breastplate of righteousness.
Belt of truth.
Wings of peace.
Helmet of salvation.
Shield of faith.
Sword of the Spirit

In modern warfare, I think I'd rather have a vest of kevlar, breastplate of steel shock plate armor, boots of combat, an M4 carbine, gas mask, and the Air Force overhead providing air superiority.

But it'd be rather uncomfortable to sleep with all that stuff on.

It occurs to me that they should make chaps/thong combinations so you can turn the other cheek. Nurse, time for my pills again . . .

^ Yeah, somehow I doubt the "Jesus thong" is going to be widely popular amongst the churchgoing crowd.

Close textual analysis of Ephesians shows you "gird your loins with the thong of truth"; when they wrote the King James version us Scots thought that was a bit racy so we left it out.

Is that why, if you lift their kilts, there's no thong under there? They prefer to leave it out?

Precisely, but in all other circumstances, as Robert Plant said, the thong remains the thame.

There's really no place for a thong to creep, they're wedged pretty well in place when worn properly.
In my hands I hold a candle whose flame is small to see, And if I give but one light to you my life is filled for me.
But...In your hands you hold a torch for many eyes to see, So hold it high that they may light their candlewicks from thee.
