not merely "that kind of stuff"--the original Silly Putty is still available. (I can't be the only one here who visits toy stores . . . .)

Can anyone explain this EGG thing to me.?

I see a couple of threads on GLP aswell.
I still await the compelling Exhibit A.

Do you mean the balancing of eggs?

See Dr Phil Plait explain. It's also Chapter 1 (The Yolk's on You: Egg Balancing and the Equinox] from the BA's book, Bad Astronomy. 8)

The egg thing on GLP is the Princeton experiment with random number generators, they call them eggs, placed all over the world. Supposedly before a big event, such as 9/11 or the tsunami, human consiousness picks up that something is coming and causes the eggs to become less random.
There is a link to it from GLP. It's basically a screen with meters on it and pinging and gonging sound effects. When it starts gonging alot it means they are becoming less random.

I think it's a mind control program. Like if you listen to it for more than five minutes you have a seizure and wake up a woo-woo.
