My wife lost a friend

Postby Enzo » Wed Apr 18, 2007 4:53 am

Nothing funny here, sorry.

In another thread around here we spoke of online pals meeting in person. I mentioned that one of my wife's boards had a get together for 10-12 of them. Several from mid-Michigan, and others drove in from surrounding states, and even from across the country. I tagged along.

One of that group passed away today from cancer, and my wife is sad. Moreso because the woman was one of the locals, and they often met for lunch or other little social encounters. I only met the person the one time, but she was my wife's friend and she feels the loss. Makes me sad too.

Nothing dramatic, won't be on the news, but a loss nonetheless. She made good cheesecake...

I'm sorry, Enzo :( Someday, cancer will be relegated to the history books.

Oh, condolences Enzo. That's sad.

All of us who knew her even just from the boards are very sad. She was a nice lady. A real, genuine, nice lady. I imagine those like Wenzo who actually got to meet her are truly devastated. And it seemed like it happened so *fast*. It doesn't seem that long ago she let us know the diagnosis.

You guys would have liked her, too, and she would have liked you.
