How is the wii game-console pronounced?

Postby Arneb » Mon Jul 23, 2007 10:32 am

O.K., so English is hell for pronounciation, and stylish test-tube names don't make it easier. With this game console, I am at a complete loss. How is this thing pronounced?

Your closest was Wee-ee, but all the advertising I've seen and heard just calls it wee, as in "Look at that wee little man!"

In the UK the adverts pronounce it "wee".

Yeah, I've heard "wee" as well.

There's an in-joke on a certain other board that depends on Wii being pronounced "wee". As in, what a certain poster there does behind the couch.

Hitler was extremely clever, but downing the PS3 wasn't necessary.

Dunno why I didn't see the first video until just now. Not everyone thinks the Wii gal is their type, although the Playstation comes off sounding awful snobby.
