Didn't know about the rugby, and struggling to care much (cannot abide the sport) but on general principle a Scottish team winning something is to be celebrated, so: Huzzah!

Meanwhile, the Scottish FA Cup is making it's way to the Highlands. To the wrong side of the bridge, unfortunately, but I'd rather our rivals Inverness Caley Thistle (from the Highlands, and the city of my birth) win it rather than yet another bunch of deasachs.

If it's a computer, use <option-u> followed by the letter you want. ÄÖÜäöü for German, Ëë for Russian.

If it's an iPhone or iPad, press and hold the letter, and a menu with a number of choices, including the umlauted version, will come up.

Following the most ancient and noble of traditions, I'm intending to start out supporting France, Colombia and Mexico.

In addition to the complex layering of semi-rational reasons that justify support for one team over another, the fact that we're dealing with women here introduces additional factors to be considered.
