It gladdens my heart to see NZ lose now and again. Would get boring otherwise.

If you are seeing an apparent paradox, that means you are missing something.

Shortly after the half, I predicted (incorrectly, as it turns out) that New Zealand would not lose, and for much of the half, they ran over Ireland like a freight train. But Ireland managed to pull it together towards the end.

In a return to the predictably mundane:

Ross County 1 - 1 Rangers. I suspect Lianachan is happier with the result than I am.

Played 65, Won 33, Drawn 13, Lost 19

I counted it as two games, since we have two teams in it.

We play our southern neighbour at football tonight. Fortunately I will be driving while the game is on as it could get ugly very quickly.

Scotland 22 - 23 Australia (even though it's a loss for Scotland, that's an entirely respectable score)

Germany 24 - 21 Uruguay

Czech Republic 0 - 71 Barbarians

Wait a minute. Germany won a Rugby match? Isn't that sort of remarkable?

Not only did Germany win a match, they did so against Uruguay, the team that replaced Russia in the World Cup.

In the current rankings, Germany are just behind Hong Kong. (Guess where I'm going in two weeks?)

Fc Augsburg 0 - 0 Hertha BSC

Must have been quite the yawn. Hertha remain 4th, but are quite likely to go to 6th or 7th when the ramaining matches are over.

Played 65, Won 34, Drawn 12, Lost 19

Routine win for Rangers, more exciting win for County. Routine in this case means a very late winner in a one nil home win. Good weekend so far.

Played 67, won 36, drawn 12, lost 19.

This seems like as good a thread as any to try to start catching up in, if, indeed, there's catching up to be done. Cheers Heid for the County results there - are they all there?
