We continue our count with another bad one:

Fucking Club Schalke 04 2 - 0 Hertha Bloody Sucking Cunts

Played 109, won 53, drawn 20, lost 36.

Hertha's proverbial Late Season Collapse this time started right before the halfway line, it's scary.

To end the weekend:

Rangers 2 -1 Morton in the Cup.

But we were awful, oh FSM we were awful and could easily have lost to a team the division below us.

Played 110, won 54, drawn 20, lost 36.
Get it up ye.

For those who believe in conspiracies Rangers have just been drawn at home for the 11th time in 12 ties, when it really ought to be a 50/50 proposition.

It's almost as if the modern team really is actually Rangers.

SpVgg Greuther Fürth 1 - 0 Fortuna Düsseldorf

Splendid mid-table mediocrity is nigh! 10th place, 9 points off relagation for Bundesliga, 10 points off relegation for League three.

Played 112, won 55, drawn 20, lost 37.

Hertha BSC 1 - 1 FC Bayern München

Hertha threaten to beat them, so as a matter of course, Bayern get 6 min of extra time, of course they get a free kick as the last decision of the match, and of course, Lewandowski does it.

Played 113, won 55, drawn 21, lost 37.

Fürth open the next weekend, which hopefully will be a little less shitty - but it doesn't look particuarly promising:

Würzburger Kickers 1 - 1 SpVgg Greuther Fürth

The equalizer for our boys came when the Würzburg goalie struck a ball against his own defender, and the ball ricocheted into the goal from there. But since this is about Second-League midtable mediocrity, who's going to complain?

Sigh, tut, etc.

Aberdeen 1 - 0 Ross County

So including Arneb's brave heroes above, that's:

Played 117, won 55, drawn 22, lost 40.

Oh, thanks a lot. Better news from the Hauptstadt:

Hertha BSC 2 - 0 Eintracht Frankfurt

Good one, home win against a direct competitor, in a hard-fought match against a strong defence.

Played 118, won 56, drawn 22, lost 40.

Scotland 29 - 13 Wales
Ireland 19 - 9 France

It's do or die for Italy tonight. If they lose to England, they are out of the tournament. If they draw and win the bonus point (bonus point system now in use for the first time ever in the Six Nations), there is an incredibly tortured scenario in which they end up tied with Scotland on table points, and win on the point spread. But it would be better for them if they were to win.

Regardless of tonight's outcome, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and France all have a chance to take the tournament.

Two weeks of play left after tonight, but next week is off.

England were trailing Italy at the half, but the final result was:

England 36 - 15 Italy

Table Points:

England - 13
Ireland - 10
Scotland - 9
Wales - 5
France - 5
Italy - 0

Two weeks of play remaining (that is, two weeks from now, and three weeks from now), anyone except Italy can win.

Next up (two weeks from now) is Wales v Ireland. To stay alive, Wales must win, and also must either score the bonus point, or prevent Ireland from scoring either bonus point. Oddly enough, France need Wales to win or draw against Ireland to stay alive, and then the next day, they need to win against Italy.

Grrch.

Hamburger Sportverein 1 - 0 Hertha BSC

The thing is, my mother-in-law is from Hamburg, and we always bitch about how grotty they've become. Bad timing, this.

Wales 22 - 9 Ireland

Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales, and France are all still in the running, but England can knock all four of the others out of contention by defeating Scotland (if France has not already knocked itself out of contention by failing to defeat Italy).

So here is what everyone needs to happen tonight:

England - still alive no matter what
Scotland - needs to win against England tonight
Ireland - needs Scotland to win tonight
Wales - needs Scotland to win tonight
France - needs either (a) to win against Italy tonight without the bonus point, and for Scotland to win against England, with England getting at most one bonus point, or (b) to win against Italy tonight with the bonus point, and for Scotland to win against England
Italy - out no matter what

France stays alive by crushing Italy, but if England defeat Scotland (and they just scored the first try seconds ago), then four teams are eliminated from contention all at once. That leaves only England remaining, if it happens.
