And as I feared, there was a lot of violence on the stands during this match. It wasn't the Rostock fans, however, who were mainly responsible for it, however. It was the Hertha people. Shame.

Idiots gonna idiot. It is possible to support the team while thinking that 75% of the fans who go to games are scum. See also: Old Firm, The.

My 2017 - 18 predictions:

Rangers will win no cups and come 3rd or 4th in the league.
County will regress, win no cups and finish 7th or 8th.
Fürth will flatter to deceive, fade at the end and finish just outside the promotion places.
Hertha will regress and finish mid-table, having had a short run in Europe then Hertha-ing against someone like Anderlecht.
Get it up ye.

1 - Sounds reasonable
2 - I'll defer to our Highlander-in-Chief on this
3 - I'll bet good money against that:

SpVgg Greuther Fürth 0 - 1 FC Ingolstadt 04: Zero points after three matches, last of the table.
Played 21, won 9, drawn 3, lost 9.

4 - That sounds awfully plausible. You've learned our ways quickly.

Hertha's group in the Europa Cup doesn't look too bad, which isn't a good sign . . .

Bilbao, Ukrainians and Umlautberg in Sweden.

New Zealand 35 - 29 Australia

The scoreboard was showing a bonus point for New Zealand, but either that's wrong, or I don't understand the new rules.

Bledisloe Cup stays in New Zealand.

Ah, I was misunderstanding what the scoreboard was telling us.

The bonus point is for Australia, for losing by seven or less.

Ok, so Furth will start slowly then fade and end up in Bundesliga 3? Or whatever is below 2.
Edit: Liga 3, I wasn't sure if it still went regional for the third tier.

IrU Derby weekend with our selection of charlatans, has been and never weres visiting Ross Chuffing County tomorrow. I have no idea how that will go.

Huzzah for the Kiwis!

BV Borussia Dortmund 09 2 - 0 Hertha BSC

Not that anyone's surprised.

Played 22, won 9, drawn 3, lost 10. We aren't aiming for 50 % wins, we must aim for under 50 % losses!

I'd guess 1-1, or 1-2.

From the Telegraph: "Dull friendlies used to pack this stadium. And this was England’s biggest home qualifier for Russia 2018." Apparently Slovakia are a bigger game than Scotland, when the stadium was full.

For a while, it looked like it might be the first time in history that Argentina defeated New Zealand. But that's not what happened.

New Zealand 39 - 22 Argentina.

Argentina now cannot win the Rugby Championship. Looks like it is shaping up to be a battle between New Zealand and South Africa, but there are still scenarios in which Australia wins.
