So, Fiji failed to show up for any of its group-stage matches in this new rugby tournament, due to a Covid outbreak on the team. As a result, they finished last in the pool, losing all of their matches 28-0 by default.

But, they were able to field a team this weekend for the seventh-place final, and are currently showing Georgia how it is done. So Fiji may finish one up from last place, by winning their first and only match played in this tournament.

Next up, Scotland play a team that I understand from previous posts at this board are known as the "pig fuckers".

Now that was to be expected. We stuck our head out way to far after last week's win. Still, in second, with only some Eastern U-fucking-Rayneeum miners positioned to pass us by.

They're on the west side of the Irish Sea. I believe the inhabitants on the east side are known as "sheep shaggers".

And Argentina and Australia draw, meaning New Zealand with the tri-Nations (that is, what would have been the Rugby Championship if South Africa hadn't pulled out over Covid concerns).

It was a theoretical possibility for any of the three times to win until this match, but as a practical matter, New Zealand was about 99.99% sure to win - for either Australia or Argentina, it would have required a win with a bonus point and close to a 100 point margin. Not likely. And it didn't happen.

Strange tournament. New Zealand won two and lost two. Australia and Argentina both won one, lost one, and drew two. Based on that, all three teams should have eight table points. However, New Zealand scored a whopping three bonus points in their four matches, and the other teams scored none, so New Zealand take the tournament.

But then England scored a try, with time almost out (in fact, time was out by the time they took the kick), tying it up (because they made the kick).

One up away to Polska Nonsense in the Pissie Wee Euro Cup for Pissie Wee Teams after an hour. If we see this out we’ll top the group, be seeded in the next round and trouser a larger wedge of Euros. If we don’t then we’re bound to draw someone like Totteringham or Milan.
