It is always rugby season these days. Watched some of the Camanachd Cup on Saturday, that is a scary game.

I saw the last ten mins or so. It's a great game - I miss it. I used to play for this lot, in my youth.

No, we didn't even make the playoffs. No surprise really and our manager is blaming it on genetics, as a nation we are too small apparently. Which is rich coming from someone who was dropped from a couple of clubs as a teenager for being too small.

Normal business resumes on Friday when we are away to St Johnstone, a game we should win but who knows.

Almost sounds like he's still bitter about that. We'll have at least three teams to support in the world cup, though - hopefully no more than that.

One African, one South American and a European is traditional, plus Germany of course.

And Iceland, obviously.

I saw today that Strachan pointed out that Scotland were the second smallest team in the tournament, ahead of only Spain. What he failed to point out is that Spain have won the last two Euros and the most recent world Cup, the man is an idiot. And a Dirty Hibbee. But you knew that.

Would he like some Americans? I hear that they will be free during the WC.

Are they tall enough? I would take DaMarcus Beasley, he was always a good player for Rangers.

That Pulisic boy I claim for our lot. Playing in Dortmund, he is practically naturalized already.

Omar Gonzales is 6' 5". Beasley and Pulisic are both a paltry 5' 8".

That's OK, we already have the tall ones. And we qualified :D

We don't need tall ones any more, Strachan has gone. He wasn't the worst manager we've had but he wasn't the best either. He played favourites, played people out of position and didn't get us to any tournaments. More importantly he is, and always will be, a Dirty Hibbee.

I'd rather he stayed, the team seemed finally to have built up a head of steam. It was all coming together in the latter stages, and it was only our shit awful start that saw us bundled out. More importantly, I can't think of anybody better to do it.

St Johnstone 0 - 3 Rangers

Fuck you, you fucking fucks! I have an acquaintance who supports St Johnstone and keeps telling me Rangers aren't a top six side. He said the same last year and won't admit he was wrong. Cunt. Yes, I was drinking during the game.

Played 54, won 24, drawn 11, lost 19

Oh well done Hertha. Not the result obviously but the pre-game gesture.

Edit to add: When did Son of Stuka start playing for you?

This one? Yeah, pretty good. In other news, our normally well behaved Japanese received a sendoff for mowing down his opponent at the midline (alsways a great idea), and it went downhill from there.

Hertha BSC 0 - 2 Schalke 04

Played 55, won 24, drawn 11, lost 20

Very short honeymoon period for our new manager, normal service resumed already.

Ross County 1 - 2 Hearts

Played 56, won 24, drawn 11, lost 21.

OTOH, Greuther weren't that bad this week: 2-1 against Aue

Played 57, won 25, drawn 11, lost 21.

Bayern München 3 - 0 Shellick

Shall we count this as a win, just for fucks sake, and because we need it? German Something winning against The Glasgow of Others seems like a plausible enough excuse.

If we count Celtic losses we have to count wins and that would really mess up our season.
