Phew! Playing shite and not losing is part of the art isn't it?

FC Augsburg 1 - 1 Hertha BSC

Played 94, won 38, drawn 19, lost 37.

Weather was great but I saw it all anyway. And yes, shite just about covers it.

Bundesliga of Augsburg?

I've just had a Celtic fan complain about how unfair Europe is, since everyone else has more money than them, so I pointed out the economic realities of Scottish fitba'. Which lead to:
Him: We could go undefeated again this season.
Me: Didn't you lose last Wednesday?
Him: I meant in Scotland.
Me: So you only count games where you have a huge economic advantage?
Him: Your lot's only goal now is to stop our unbeaten season.
Me: No, I like your record and want it to continue since the longer it goes on the more ridiculous it looks.
Him: *stomps off*

Including last night:

Ross County 2 - 2 Kilmarnock

Scummy Leithers 1 - 2 Rangers

Played 96, won 39, drawn 20, lost 37

Seems to be a good mid-week play day.

Hertha BSC 3 - 1 Hannover 96

Played 97, won 40, drawn 20, lost 37

And Hertha now have 21 points - half the rent in, with almost half the season played, so it will be a close call for non-relegation. We are usually worse in the second half of the season.

Played 98, won 40, drawn 20, lost 38

Motherwell 3 - 2 Ross Chuffing County

We helpfully put the ball into our own net for their last minute winner.

Played 99, won 40, drawn 20, lost 39.

Further South-East, my idiot Greuther were unable to stop a former Munich star from putting one in at the closing whistle - The opposition is just one place ahead of them in the table, so after half the season, Geruther remain in 17th, slated for relegeation to the dreaded third league_

SpVgg Greuther Fürth 1 - 1 SV Darmstadt 98

Hertha in for a thrashing at the hands of 2nd-place Leipzig in 20 min...

Played 100, won 40, drawn 21, lost 39.

Oh, will it look artfully balanced after game 101

Oh dear, two--nil up after the first half, despite having a defender sent off after 7 (seven!) minutes.
This will only make the pain in the end worse, if and when my belaved Auld Auntie fucks up again in the end...

This isn't happening, right?

65th minute first Leipzig goal. Is this the crack in the wall? Dark clouds menacing...

AUS! WÄRTS!! SIEG!!!

Hertha Slick through to mark only their second away win, against a towering favourite, being one man down for almost the entire match. Wow. This is not the Hertha I know, admittedly.

RB Leipzig 2 - 3 Hertha BSC

And now for something compeletely unbalanced:

Played 101, won 41, drawn 21, lost 39.

Things will get a lot quiter. There is a Cup match day next week, but Hertha are already out. No fitba here until late January.

We have games over Xmas and New Year.

I like the idea of Boxing Day football when everyone watches highly trained top athletes run their guts out in shameful weather while sitting on the couch, drink and snacks handy still burping from Christmas food overload, and calling the athletes lazy, overpaid bastards who aren't getting anything done.

Isn't that what we do every other day? Wouldn't boxing day football involve highly-trained athletes sitting on the couch, watching us do something that vaguely resembles football while calling us lazy and overpaid (which is actually probably true)?

True, but it would be even more fun when all the critics on the couch are in even worse shape than ususal.

Ross County 1 - 1 St Johnstone

I was in the hospitality for this. 1-0 down after something like 70 seconds, and awful for the first half. Amazing in the second half, and should have won 3 or 4 - 1. Game featured one of those hilarious ding-abouts where their keeper made 3 great saves, 2 of them point blank, and we hit the post, all from about 4 yards and all in about 10 seconds. Ah well. Entertaining match, with fine food and drink in good company.

Played 104, won 41, drawn 22, lost 41.

Celtic 0 - 0 Rangers

I was on a balcony in Spain for this, drinking more than is good for me rather than doing something useful. Except useful is difficult as it is more than 30C. Just as well Global Warming is a myth or my brains would be melting out my arse.

Played 105,, won 41,drawn 23, lost 41.

Now we don't even have twice as many victories as draws. This isn't our season.

It is actually worse than you think.

Pertick 2 - 0 RCC

Played 106, won 41, drawn 23, lost 42.
