We have scored our traditional early goal. We’re at home in the Cup against Killie. Now we just need to hold on for another hour and a bit.

Meanwhile, Schalke have scored 2 against ManCity from two penalties and only need to survive another 120 min without a goal against the Pep troupe.

So in the within-Germany comparison it's Bayern+Dortmund nil, Schalke 2. I doubt many people took a bet on that one.

Rangers 5 - 0 Kilmarnock

Their keeper was sent off at one nil, for nothing that I could see.

Played 137, won 65, drawn 39, lost 33.

SpVgg Greuther Fürth 0 - 0 SV Heidenheim

Not too bad against the 4th of the table if your goal is midtable mediocrity

Played 138, won 65, drawn 40, lost 33.

.Hertha up for a thrashing today away to Bayern München. Still goalless after 13 min.

England and Wales play tonight. I’d say the winner of this match has a good chance of winning the Six Nations.

1 nil down at the 62nd. That took surprisingly long.

We were 2-0 down at half time. In fact, after 25 minutes. Surprised upon getting back into mobile data coverage that the final score was:

Partick Thistle 2 - 4 Ross County (!)

That and cooperative results elsewhere mean we’re now 5 points clear at the top of the league, and have a game in hand.

Played 140, won 66, drawn 40, lost 34.

Hurrah for County, we’re up in an hour away to a team anchored at the wrong end of the table.

All hail County! Scotland clearly contributes more to our count than Germany. On the positive side, at least.

Anyone surprised we got an early goal? Followed a minute later by a second. We should be ok from here but it will either be 0 - 6 and coasting or a nervy 1 - 2 as they mount a late charge.

That’s three so the former is likely.

Hamilton 0 - 5 Rangers

Trust me, after our last seven or eight years it will be a while before this gets boring.

Played 141, won 67, drawn 40, lost 34

Important match for RCC tonight, at home to Ayr (the team who are second). Potential to go 8 points clear....

ETA: Bloody hell, we’re on the telly machine AGAIN. Live on BBC Alba.

ETA again: 1-0 for the forces of good at half-time.

Siorrachd Rois 3 - 2 duine bhon taobh a deas

If we’re not careful, we’re going to end up getting promoted.

Played 142, won 68, drawn 40, lost 34.

I didn’t see much of it but one of their goals was my fault as I turned over. Sorry. Something from the south?

We’re up tomorrow against Dungdee.

Both of their goals were actually my fault, as I saw them both by walking into the room to check the score just in time for them. I only saw our 3rd.

It’s nobodies from the south - have some Internet Points for identifying the cardinal direction!

Can’t imagine Dungdee will cause you many problems.

They shouldn't cause us problems but you never know. Curious that that much put upon, shy, retiring young man Neil Lennon has taken the Celtic job again. And of course his first game is away to Hearts.

Bit of a strange time for his predecessor to cheese it darn sahth, with a potential triple treble looming.

I guess a triple treble isn’t significantly better on a football manager’s CV than a double one.

Maybe it's the nature of the triple treble, with Shellick basically only competing with themselves for the various titles - at least as long as Rangers aren't quite back yet. Something along the lines of, oh
masturbation is great, but sometimes, you prefer real sex, even if it's just being fucked from behind (as seems to be the case in Leicester at the moment).

Or maybe it's just the money. I know it sounds far-fetched, but it might be a possibility.

Rodgers has always wanted back to England, Celtic was only ever a stepping stone to that, though you can't tell Celtic fans that we're a backwater. Many of them genuinely believe that Celtic should get automatic entry to the Champions League group stages every year. However many trebles it is, it is still "only Scotland".

Rangers 4 - 0 Dungdee

For variety we scored two early goals and were three up by 23 minutes.

Played 143, won 69, drawn 40, lost 34.

A bit of good news from the continent:

Hertha BSC 2 - 1 FSV Mainz 05

I don't know if there is an equivalent word in English for Arbeitssieg, meaning a victory that was achieved with no glamour, very little fun and lots of work ("Arbeit", which you will certainly have guessed is feminine). We're in eighth now, 4 points away from Europe, but you know us.

Played 144, won 70, drawn 40, lost 34.

Greuther travel to Hamburg tomorrow, and we don't expect to take anything home but a sore back. We are in tenth at the moment, but we have the second-to-worst goal difference of the League. Paderborn (Pader.Born!!) dealt us most of that (0-5 and 0-6), but we are always good for a thrashing if the opposition catches a good moment.

Arbeitsseig sounds like “grinding out a win”.

Sheepshaggers 1 - 1 Rangers

We didn’t get an early goal but managed a draw.

Played 145, won 71, drawn 40, lost 34.
