Scotland vs Faroe Islands tonight. Fun fact - more Ross County players have gained caps for the Faroe Isles while a County player than have done for Scotland. Scotland caps for County players are always earned before (eg Brian Irvine, Nicky Walker ) or after (eg Don Cowie, Gary MacKay-Steven) their time at the club. We had the Faroe’s captain with us in 2010/11. In that time he played for the Faroes more often than he played for us, inexplicably.

It's not only hugely embarrassing, it's also kind of momentous: In all of the Universe's 6000 year history, Germany have now lost only three World Cup qualifiers: One against the DDDs in 1985, and one in 2001, 1-5 against Them Who Shall Not Be Named. So, footy history was being made yesterday, in the beautiful city of Duisburg.

Yes, I remember watching that 2001 game in disbelief. Still, it wasn't to last - we were knocked out early on once we actually got to Japan. And Germany went on to restore honour by making it to the finals. But the World Cup's got really weird lately - remember how far Iceland got last time?

Don’t underestimate us, we were completely and utterly shite. Will be back to the Good Old Days in the Highland League in a few years if we keep playing like that.
