I've not heard any messages on the jungle drums yet. I'm not sure what the options might be. I think this season is already a write-off, and a new manager won't be able to bring in players or anything like that, so I think let current assistant manager Don Cowie have a crack at it and see where we are at the start of next season.

And so it is. Announced this morning.

Sensible enough, try and stay up and reset in the summer.

Scotland 13 - 10 France at the half.

About seven minutes remaining on France’s yellow card.

Feckin’ Frenchies now in the lead, by one point. 7.5 minutes to go.

Bloody hell!

Scotland 16 - 20 France

Bonus point for Scotland.

With seconds to go, ahead by four points, France had the ball, but they bungled it, turning it over to Scotland, who quickly pushed too the try line, but were ruled not to have grounded the ball. :\O/:

So my not terribly bold prediction after Italy and Ireland play tomorrow is:

1. Ireland
2. England
3. Scotland
4. France
5. Wales
6. Italy

Clearly grounded from where I was standing, and about 40,000 agreed with me.

I thought it was a try. I was surprised when they called it as no try.

Apparently the TMO said the ball was grounded but then said to go with the ruling on the field.

So what is the TMO for?

Dunno, I haven't watched it on the tellybox but it looked clear enough on the big screen.

Hertha up one nil at the half. I'd prefer noone moves for the rest of the game.

I mean, why do they even bother with TMO, if they're just going to ignore it?

1 all. I just hope it doesn't stay that way. A draw would be shite for both my teams.

Adds tension too the game, whether the officials will do their job or not. Good to see a lady lino at Twickenham.

Fourth try for Ireland, that’s the bonus point.

SpVgg Greuther Fürth 1 - 2 Hertha BSC

I prefer this outcome because
1) I don't want my Greuther to be butchered in the Bundesliga yet again, and probably neither do they.
2) It provides some much-needed relief for Hertha from relegation pressure - we're in 8th place now, 8 points below the good play-off spot, and 8 above the bad one.
3) It showed that Hertha isn't quite dead yet after the demise of our President. I don't think we'd survive another spiral of negativity.
4) A draw would have been bad for the count.

So we have the count in idle, hanging on to 50 % wins by our fingernails:
Played 120, won 60, drawn 22, lost 38.

Ireland 36 - 0 Italy

Bonus point for Ireland.

I feel like the score does not reflect the quality of Italy’s play, which has improved substantially in recent years. But, the score is what it is.

Table points:

Ireland - 10 (still play England, Scotland, Wales)
England - 8 (still play Ireland, Scotland, France)
Scotland - 5 (still play England, Ireland, Italy)
France - 4 (still play England, Wales, Italy)
Wales - 3 (still play Ireland, France, Italy)
Italy - 1 (still play Wales, Scotland, France)

My best prediction at this point would be that Ireland win, but this is a long long way from being over.

This morning, Ross County said this on their social media: "Congratulations to George Wickens who broke the record for the most saves in a single match in the Scottish Premiership era, making 19 saves last night!"
