That's good, but had me thinking more of guacamole.

Nice painting, but I can't get any kind of Paul/citrus pun to work.

My sister is pretty sharp, but does not tend to make puns much. I doubt there is one to find in that title.

I would do something like
Grapefruitful Dead/Paul is dead.

My sister would not stoop to such.

In our gene pool, I got the inane sense of humor, while she got some actual talent.

One of my Art History profs would have undoubtably put a sexual spin on the title of the painting and it's subject matter.

As it is, I'm not sure of the title, but she did nice work.

I figgered it out.

The painting is a tip of the hat to Paul Gauguin. I recall her mentioning the colors were very Gauguin-ish

Hmmm, maybe I can commission some art.

Update the still life to include car keys and a cell phone.

The Mona Lisa - with a cell phone to her ear.

American Gothic - with both of them on their cell phones.

Arrangement in gray and black (Whistler's Mother) - and yes, she is on the cell phone.

Vincent van Gogh - on the cell phone, but holding it on the other side now.

And scuplture:
Venus De Milo with troubled brow and a cell phone sitting nearby.

Now you mention it, it is Gauguinesque.

Remind me not to have guacamole at Lance's place. My guac recipe does not include red grapefruit.

[spoiler]
Oxygen, it makes the avocado turn brown, and then it spoils.

Mine either. But my eyes focus on the lime first and I thought "guac" before the next synapse had a chance to fire.

You've got synapses? I think I used to have those, but that was before the 1960s.
