Death always comes in 3

Off-Topic conversations about what ever you feel like talking about.

Death always comes in 3

Postby Candy » Sat Mar 08, 2008 8:17 am

Why?

1. I'm waiting for my father to die (stroke).
2. I'm waiting for my former manager to die (cancer).

Why does death come in 3's? Who's number 3?

It's okay to be funny. I'm dealing with death every day on a personal level. I'm okay with it.

I had a real hard time after 9/11. It's easier to deal with everything now.

It helps to talk openly.

I think I am finally developing feelings again.

Humor is the best medicine. I've probably mentioned it before, but I had a friend who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. We were talking about it, and he discussed his support group. Said they had one rule - you could ALWAYS interrupt with a joke. I liked that way of thinking. he wanted to bring me to a meeting just to be funny. I never got the chance, he only lasted a couple weeks. Share the laughs while you can.

I hope when I go that whoever is left has a good time at my expense. No somber baloney for me please.

"Those ashes look so lifelike."

My mother always liked to say that I'd be late for my own funeral - I was never a prompt lad. I have a both friend and my wife pledged to insure I don't make a liar out of mom.

Daniel, former manager, has had cancer for 5 years. He was hoping to live this long, since it is some weird rare cancer that less than .01% of people get. Therefore, no research and no cure.

I remember, while still at UA, he had another piece of the disease cut out of his body. I told him that if they keep cutting at this rate, then he will just be a big head someday. We laughed.

He is my inspiration for continued education. I sent him a card and donated monies to his family fund. He isn't accepting any visitors at the hospital.

Dad's just angry. He's scared of dying. I don't visit. It's hard to talk to him. With all of his other issues, colon cancer and diabetes, I don't think he will last the year out. It's so difficult to see him small and weak. He was always so strong and handsome. He will always be the perfect man in my eyes.

Daniel is travelling tonight on a plane
I can see the red tail lights heading for Spain
Oh and I can see Daniel waving goodbye
God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes

They say Spain is pretty though I’ve never been
Well Daniel says it’s the best place that he’s ever seen
Oh and he should know, he’s been there enough
Lord I miss Daniel, oh I miss him so much

Daniel my brother you are older than me
Do you still feel the pain of the scars that won’t heal
Your eyes have died but you see more than I
Daniel you’re a star in the face of the sky

Daniel is travelling tonight on a plane
I can see the red tail lights heading for Spain
Oh and I can see Daniel waving goodbye
God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes
Oh God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes

Condolences.
No trees were killed in the posting of this message.
However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
