Long-term Planning

Postby Мастер » Mon Sep 26, 2011 4:37 am

So, typing up some things I need to do, and putting due dates on them. One of them needs to be done in 2012. But, due to careless typing, I entered 20112 into the Calendar/Task program.

Much to my surprise, it accepted this date. Many software packages won't accept dates prior to 1970, but 18,000 years into the future is OK.

So when I should get started on that one?

One of our software packages allows dates back to 1900, It was custom written for us and the designers took the huff when we called them wankers for including dates more than 100 years before our firm was set up.

I am suddenly reminded of the old joke about KY2K jelly. Apparently it allowed you to insert 4 digits into your date instead of two.

Hey, Mactep, what an ingenious way around my "honey do" list.

I may nap on the couch for 17,999 years.

Sweet.

AH yes...

WHen I got engaged to the wife she said, "Now I can start a Honey Do list."

To which I replied, "Then I will work on my Can't Elope list."

They are so dumb that they probably think it covers them from any law suites within the statute of limitations.

So much classier than a lawsuit.

But wouldn't you want a lawsuit to wear in your lawsuite?

I definitely want trousers with my law suit (at a minimum).
