Ok, who the hell here doesn't have cats?

Postby MM_Dandy » Mon May 30, 2005 4:47 am

After reading through the board, I realized that more than a few of have cats for pets. I am the slave of two cats myself: Aries and Triton.
They are both domestic long hair, with Aries having true long hair. Aries is the old, fat, cranky one, and Triton is smaller, younger, and gets into all the trouble.

At any rate, I'd thought I'd just run a poll, just to see how many of us are owned by cats...

I've always liked cats, at least as much as dogs, and have always had at least one cat to trip over as he weaves between my feet for most of my life.

Alas, I have none.

:glp_(43):

I've always been a cat person and have had as many as 12 when I lived in a very rural setting. Unfortunately, my circumstances now don't permit it. Maybe someday...

*sigh*

Iv had cats around me my entire life.... I just love them.

My last cat dropped dead "just like that" one morning.....GF called me screaming/crying.....weirdest thing.

I still await the compelling Exhibit A.

I am the poor sap with the "Three or more"

This morning I would have fallen into the Two CATegory but while mowing and trimming today my wife found three kittens under the porch. :?

Now I have a 15 year old long haired cat named Figaro. He looks just like the cat on Pinoccio.

I have a short hair cat I rescued from a flooded creek two years ago. Her name is Ema.

Now I have three ?? week old kittens in a basket. One has been named Cleo. Still up in the air for the other two.

Older cats become another issue all together. My 14 year old cat all the sudden a few years ago after 10 years of being totally standoffish, has decided that her goal in life is to spend every waking moment of the rest of her life in as close of physical contact to me as she possibly can.

I've never had to worry so much about stepping on a feline.

I have only one at the moment, though I once had two. In three weeks she'll have her 21st birthday.

Well, folks; the results speak for themselves:
cats are undeniably behind the Illuminati cospiracy, secretly controlling the world through their "owners."

:D

Thanks to all who participated in my scientifical like study.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to do my cats' evil biddings...

Me, too, with my one and only, Fifi. She must be touching me at all times. She's an older cat ~10.

Three fur generators (it's shedding season) at the moment.

Primary Cat - Melville (I was reading Moby Dick at the time)
Secondary Cat - Kitten (real lack of imagination with that name)
Tertiary Cat - Greenwood (named after the street I found her on).

They don't know it yet, but on friday they get stuck in cat carriers and driven 1,200 miles east.

Good luck, my furball kicked and screamed for 4 hours while driving from Indianapolis to Schaumburg.

I recommend Valium . . . for the cats, not you. :)

Heh, when I was growing up, we had cats named "Tom", "Stupid Cat", and "Orange Cat," just to name a few. My wife's uncle has a dog aptly named "Dog."

Our big cat, Aries, has moved with me twice. The first was a fifty mile trip, where he puked, pooped, peed, and yeowled the whole way. Cleaning him up was not fun, either. The second trip a year later was only half as long, and he meowed pitifully for a little bit, but that was it. Of course, he was pissed off for about three days after each move. I don't envy you, neocracker.

Looks like I'm one of the few here without a cat. We've had them from time to time as mousers for be barn and feed shed but never had any we kept in the house. My baby is a 150lb great pyrenees. She makes a great bed warmer and I can leave the doors unlocked at night and sleep in peace.
Got my jackboots polished and woo-woo bashin' on my mind.

Forgive my dumbness, is that a snake you are talking about?

I'm not good enough with the computer to send pictures but that sight will give you a good look at the breed. They are big babies with their family but hell if you don't belong.
