Just as well you qualified your statement. (I've had to do a lot of editing on my draft to make sure unnecessary qualifications are omitted).

I'm finally meeting with my supervisor this Friday. Will he have comments on all my draft chapters by then? Time will tell.

Met the super this morning - he only had comments on 3 and a half of my 7 draft chapters. Bit more re-writing to do. Pressure is on.

Word count (excl appendices) has bounced back up to 39,608. The super still has 3 and a half draft chapters to give me feedback on.

I prefer "Write drunk, edit sober". It also helps to have an editor you trust.

I've started compiling the thesis chapters and appendices into one document now. Got up to Chapter 5 and Appendices for Chapters 1 through to 4 into it so far. And just doing that took two whole days (up to 120 pages ) so far. Still have Chapters 6 and 7 and the bulk of the appendices to put in (There are 10 appendices to Chapter 5 still to go in), and the contents, list of tables, figures etc, glossary, acknowledgements, abstract, etc. Submission deadline is end of next week.

My supervisor still hasn't given me feedback on the draft discussion and conclusion chapters (6 and 7). Got another meeting with him on Friday.

Spent the day feverishly plodding away at completing it. Met my supervisor at 3pm to go over his comments on the discussion and conclusion chapters, which I have to re-edit and add into the compiled document. They were the last draft chapters I was waiting for his comments on. Its the end of the day here and I'm knackered. I've taken leave from work for all of next week to finish it. Hopefully I'll have it finished in the next day or two and then I can have the rest of the week off. Fingers crossed.

Finishing compiling the final draft - 37,876 words excluding the prologue bits and appendices.

Got a few formatting issues to resolve. Then a couple more proof reads and try to crib it back to under 35,000 words. Nearly dunnit. Doesn't seem real
