I believe the TSA has procedures for dealing with people who find themselves without identification. Of course, the odds of the TSA following its own procedures are not particularly good.

This does beg the question, though, of why in the US one needs a driving license to be a passenger on an aeroplane.

I'd never heard of her, so I did. Don't recognise her, either. I'm afraid I would have needed to have seen some ID from her, too.

Yeah, she's a young one who has been in some sitcoms, and not much else far as I know.

This was a private plane, but in general, don;t you need to present ID at the ticket counter? Apparently the only form of ID she had would have been the license, which had been yanked.

I'm surprised, dear, that you know anything about her. Let's see- she's facing a bunch of criminal charges over this last bit, including destruction of evidence (not littering), possession, resisting arrest etc. The plane thing, the private plane had a policy of positive ID only, which in the US = either a drivers license, state issued ID or passport. Cops routinely will confiscate drivers licenses lots of times (I had a client who went to jail for unpaid parking tickets, and they confiscated his license), and it's devilishly difficult to get the state to issue ID without... ID.

In this case, I believe it's more of an untreated mental illness (Britney Spears level).

I had never heard of her either, there is a whole stratum of tv which I have never heard of let alone seen.

In Europe you generally need either a passport or National ID card to fly, either internally or internationally. Internal private flights don't need anything but they like to know who is getting on the plane.
