I'd never heard that word either, but inferred the correct meaning from context. Pretty much any word can be used for the nuts around here - neatly demonstrated by The Two Ronnies repeated references to "The Trossachs".

Well I have voted, I have a postal vote logged for all elections since I am often away in May when most elections are, and I was away for the Referendum last year. So that is one - nil for our side, two - nil when I put my Mum's postal vote in next week.

Well played, sir. I suspect we're probably already down by about 17,000 - 1 due to the labour party's love of postal voting fraud, but we can hope that's been sorted out by now...

The current hatred for Labour in West Fife, a traditional Labour stronghold, is immense. Apparently none of them thought what would happen at the next General Election when they were on the streets being the face of the "No" campaign. And not following through on any of the panicked last minute promises hasn't helped.

Not meaning that poll here, but I think the BBC are setting themselves up to announce the night as a disaster for the SNP unless they get at least 50 seats. Of course, before the election they only had 6, but still......

Guess who lives in the only Labour held seat?
Now predicting 55 which is still remarkable. There should be a Tory government, possibly with an actual majority which is good in one way in that there will be 50+ SNP MPs at Westminster for years rather than another election this year.

It's a bullshit name, really. It's incorrect. As it's written, it should really be pronounced "vaa-re"' but people generally pronounce it as "maa-re".
