They make a big thing of it so it must work, in a "We have always been at war with Eastasia" kind of way. And your widow gets a pension, which is no small thing.

If I can convince them I'm 27 (rather than 54) there's a job for me in the Indian Navy. The Pakistani armed forces seem to want you to read Urdu which knocks that on the head and a lack of Bengali would appear to rule out the Banglas. No idea about Sri Lanka but it seems to me it would be far too hot.
