Oh, Canada...

Well I like railroads. In 1976, we had a bicentennial train running around the USA, a steam locomotive all painted red, white, and blue. I was lucky enough to see it pass by through EAst Lansing one afternoon. Pretty cool.

But I had no idea the Canadians did something similar for their 1967 centennial.

A train horn is one of my favourite sounds, that one is extra cool.
I don't remember hearing about that at the time, but was quite young. Though I would have remembered if I'd been taken to see it.
It was fitting for them to do this for the centennial, the trans-continental railway completion was one of the defining moments around Confederation:

I am looking for it, but on MEF a long while back I posted a chart of railroad horns by make and model, and what RRs used which. They are tuned to chords, some of the guys thought they were random notes.
