I don't know if anyone outside of Canada even knows about crokinole, the table top game?
Well, they've combined it with curling and built small rinks where they use curling stones as the playing pieces.
It seems to be catching on here. Looks like fun, no sweeping or 'hurry hard'.

More power to them. But I was just outside in the 4 degrees F cold, and won't be looking for other activities outside for a while. Perhaps on TV...

Have you ever played tabletop crokinole? I prefer shuffleboard but it's a bit large for the kitchen table.

Never heard of it before today.
I had a Carrom board as a kid, very different. In fact a Carrom board just showed up yesterday in our community room. But similar sized wood thing you played with your fingers or a short "pool cue".
There are still a few taverns in the area with full size shuffleboards - I think that is 24 feet? They do come in shorter versions though. Apparently I was the only guy for a hundred miles or more who understood and could make work the score boards. Board wax gets into everything. I was always getting calls to some far out in the weeds tavern and have to perform digital electronics on the things sitting at a bar table.
At one shop we had our countertop/benchtop made of an old retired shuffleboard slab. It was great, three or four inches thick of solid hardwood. It could stand up to anything.

Sounds like much more fun than the strip clubs I had to do service calls at.

So like "we have a sticky pole at the pussycat café"?

Oh I used to contract for field service at the Deja Vu club here, and in fact back in the 1970s at the local Pussycat Theater.

Did you ever have to deal with a sticky pole?

Sticky microphones. The poles tend to be self-cleaning.
