Signs of the times

Went to the library today to renew my card. There's a sign on the door that states "must wear shirt and shoes". Recognizing that Enzo was out in the car waiting for me, I suggested to them that they add "pants" to their list.

Fortunately, of course, we have Ruth back at the home making sure he's wearing pants. :D/

When I was in college, they had a rule: Sunday evening meal, we had to wear jacket and necktie. So naturally, various among us would wear exactly that: jacket and tie, but no shirt.

We did however wear pants.

Was the rule swiftly amended?

I don't really recall at this point, it was 50 some years ago. I think the snicker factor wears off pretty quickly.

I do recall the dining hall opened an hour early so the kitchen crew could eat before the shift. We were allowed to go in then if we wanted, so we did, and that skirted the dress code.

if I didn't you'd think something was wrong. Remember, I walk on the ground you worship.
