Started out bad for the Trump team when they referred to the "Boston Red Socks". The name is Sox, Donny.

But in the tradition of inviting the season champs to the white house, Trump congratulated them for winning the 2018 "World Cup Series".


I thought to put this in the favorite sports team thread, but felt I shouldn't taint that thread.

I have actually seen them live, against the Orioles about twenty years ago at Fenway. It was a pleasant way to spend a summer's evening. Two of the few things that stuck in my mind was that a) Wade Boggs is actually someone's name, and b) he had a fine moustache.
