Where Bald Eagles Dare

Postby Lance » Fri Jul 08, 2022 2:43 pm

I've been trying to catch one of the adults at the nest for a couple of weeks now. Finally did!

The top of the baby's head is sticking up on the left side, just above the rim of the nest.

Awesome beagle photo!

May we know the location?

In the 1990s, they were still rare enough that people tended to keep the nesting locations secret. Maybe it is different now.
They call me Mr Celsius!

Impressive nest building skills

Thanks!

There is an open, grassy spot in the parking lot that surrounds a long-dead tree. The nest is in the tree.

In the over-head view, the nest is at the very top point of the small grassy area.

The over-head view is Google Maps, so Mactep, you can see exactly where it is. It's in the Mooseheart Stadium parking lot.

Ah! You can see why the tree died.
