Olympic countdown

Is that because Lance is actually interested in sports?? I didn't know you were.

The Days - Hours - Minuts - Seconds line is slightly cut off at the bottom by the golden frame of the IRU logo.

I do like the winter Olympics, yes.

Can you post a screen capture? I'm not visualizing what you're describing.

At the moment, no. Because on the mobile device, it looks perfect :D

Looks fine to me, and I also really like the Winter Olympics.

I had this counter up 4 years ago too. I just had to change the date.

Here's what it looks like from my Desktop, Win7, Firefox 56.0.2: The picture frame cuts into the last line.

I'm seeing the full image on my desktop.
Arneb, are you using any magnification or different DPI (font size) setting?

Not that I am aware of, no.
It happens on the desktop (with the spanking-new Firefox) as well as on the laptop (with Firefox before the newest update). I don't use any paticular font settings.

Looks fine to me. And I get a bit overexcited by the Winter Olympics and I watch far too much biathlon and cross country ski-ing. Oh, and the bobsleigh: and yes it is a fucking disgrace that the British Federation tried to take three men's crews with no hope of a medal while leaving the women's world champion at home due to sexism. And budget constraints. But mainly sexism. She's going since we have crowdfunded it but it is yet another outrageous decision by a lottery funded sport.

I hadn't heard any of that, but I don't follow the sports - plus, of course, I support Anyone-But-GB.

I only support the GB athletes we can legitimately claim as Scottish like the curling team. In Nordic sports we support Norway plus the German Women's biathlon team. Ice hockey is Scanners in general, sliding sports is Switzerland, we don't watch Alpine events, the Mem watches skating without supporting anyone, other than that it is small countries over large, mountainous over flat, north over south.

British bobsleigh stories here and here. British bobsleigh are doing the absolute minimum to keep their funding but only after the media held their arse to the fire.

That skip fire has Perfidious Albion written all over it. I generally just enjoy the games without really supporting anybody, although there are countries I am fond or un-fond of to various extents for various rational or irrational reasons.

I seem to recall an issue with the 1,000,000 thread counter not fitting right for Arneb either. I wonder if the German character set is slightly taller to make up for all those decorations above some of the letters.

The 1,000,000 counter was easy to fix and just made it a bot longer for everyone. This would be harder with the graphic background. If I fix it to align properly for Arneb, I think it will be off for everyone else.

I'm using FF Quantum (v57) on Windows 10, and I have the same issue.

Arneb, can we try something? Go to:

Control Panel -> Region and Language -> Keyboards and Languages -> Change Keyboards

What does it say in the dropdown for "Default input language"?

I want to change mine to be the same as yours and see if I can duplicate what you're seeing.

The default input language is "German (Germany) - German". Let's have a look.
Just for fun, I changed MY panel to the one other available option: "English (USA) - US"
And it stayed the same.

Yep. He's been pretty good. Merry Christmas medical dude.

Okay Arneb, you should now have your very own Olympics Countdown Timer above everyone else's. We'll only see ours but you'll see both.

Does it fit better now?

ETA: Okay, I think you'll only see your own now, and only you will see it. Please confirm. And also, remind me after the Olympics to put things back to normal.

It looks perfect now. Hey boss, really, you needn't do this. I can certainly think that you, being a programmer, lose sleep over these things, but you do know, don't you, that I'd never expect that kind of diligence and care for myself. Thanks all the more!

On my iPad the countdown clock is cut off at the bottom.

Mine too, but I can see the numbers and enough of the text to know what the numbers are so I give zero shits.
