Arneb wrote:It looks perfect now. Hey boss, really, you needn't do this. I can certainly think that you, being a programmer, lose sleep over these things, but you do know, don't you, that I'd never expect that kind of diligence and care for myself. Thanks all the more!

I know. :) I don't mind if I have the time. I just duplicated the gadget and made the graphic a little longer to accommodate your spacing. Then I made a second panel on the front page that only you can see. It was pretty simple once I put some thought into it. Not an efficient way to do it, but easy enough.

Ah. So that's why it comes out wrong as long as I am not logged in but is perfect when I do. NIfty.

Exactly.

I just wish I know why your fonts are apparently slightly taller than everyone else's.

It's the same as Arneb's picture earlier in this thread, really. Only looks like that on iPad - fine on desktop.

Sorted when I log in, but until I do that it’s the same.

ETA - Ah, the same as this!

Did I mention (and is it any use) that the counter looks shiny when I watch it with Chrome on my computer in the workplace, even before logging in?

Eddie the Eagle is a surprisingly good film, if anybody fancies something a bit winter olympic-sy.

No no, it is good, and it stays good. It's only at home where everything's Firefox that the text doesn't fit before the login.

Try with the flat black instead of the chrome.

What the...

The clock is still counting down, but as far as I can see, the opening ceremony has already happened? Are we still in the same universe?

I didn't change the one you see but the one I see is counting down to the TV airing of the opening ceremonies at 7:00pm CST in the US. I don't recall what the other version is counting to.

ETA: Yours is counting up now, from when it started. But it doesn't do that well. I'll fix it in a bit.

EATA: There, I fixed it. Better now?

In the million countdown thread we're heading for 747,999, any chance you could fiddle with the autobot so that it gives the number as Plane, xxx?

BIG plane. Or maybe even an image? Or 10 images, rotating with the single digits?

The Germans, they always take things too far. "Big plane" would be good though.
