Anybody seen this? Treated myself to the 4k disc and watched it tonight. I’m a huge fan of the director, The Witch in particular is fantastic. But this film is apparently rooted in historical authenticity, albeit not accuracy, and yeah... it’s really good. More detailed analysis available if requested, but this archaeologist who knows a lot about “Viking” stuff gives it a double thumbs up. Settings, costumes, culture etc pretty much spot on.

I think I saw it (with the Skarsgård kid and The Queens Gambit girl?).

Enjoyed the Vikings series* that came out on Netflix a few years ago. Lots of license. (Seeing as how it was based on the Sagas’n’all) - too heretical?

*Particularly the first**series (before Ragnar Lothbrok became chieftain.)

**But once I saw the first series, I got hooked into all the others. A very successful’flix formula, when Netflix was still peaking. (And now I’m Off Topic, sorry)
