Indiana Jones and the Insufferable Feminist

Great song? Good show? Bad movie? What should be enjoyed and what should be avoided.

Indiana Jones and the Insufferable Feminist

Saw the latest, and mercifully last, Indiana Jones film today. Hoo, boy.

Worse than Indiana Jones and the She Wolf of the KGB? The one that “nuked the fridge”?

Much as I like Harrison Ford, I lost interest long ago.

I am watching the third installment of Picard on Prime at the moment. It's a nice bit of SciFi with a few touching moments, but the constant post-heroicism with references to creaky joints and having to pee often does get on your nerves after a while. It's not like they make elder statespeople appearances like Spock did in TNG - there are no new heroes to visit, and the old ones are all in decline but still at the helm. Sheesh, even Q prepared to die in season 2.

I think probably so, yes, although it's awful for different reasons. I'll not go into details to avoid spoilers.

I'm not sure I saw the third one. I really doubt I'll watch this, unless I'm drunk and it's on the tellybox. And even then I'll probably fall asleep halfway through.

The third one (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) is very good indeed and you need to get it watched! It's where the franchise should have ended, in terms of cinema anyway.

The third one was with Sean Connery, and actually had some fairly funny (if still corny) moments.

Especially the moment where father and son realise they've slept with the same Nazi Brunnhilde and she rubs it in on them.

Yeah, the way a Giantissimo bowl of popcorn and Fiercely Super Large Coke are good.

Even better than that. "I'm as good as the next man." "I WAS the next man!"

That and the "ticket check" on the Zeppelin.

It is a very good film indeed. Unlike subsequent Indiana Jones outings.
