Hugh Keays-Byrne

Great song? Good show? Bad movie? What should be enjoyed and what should be avoided.

Hugh Keays-Byrne

I thought I'd introduce everyone to the actor who portrayed the Toecutter, pictured in my avatar.

He seems to specialise in characters everybody loves to hate.

Grunchlk.

Loved that show.

Never saw the show. Checking it out at IMDB though, it has at least one other Mad Max alum, Virginia Hey was in Mad Max 2 (or The Road Warrior, depending on where one lives).

And a couple of years after Mad Max 2 she was in Neighbours.

Unfortunately she is a nutter:

"Hey is a certified practitioner of natural therapies. She studied Naturopathy, Homeopathy and Herbal Medicine for one year in 1992, became certified in advanced Reiki in 1998 and Meditative healing for 2 years 1998-1999 before Farscape began in late 1999. She is interested in New Age spiritualism and teaches meditation across the USA."

He crops up in the latest Mad Max as well, still as a bad guy.
Get it up ye.

I can't believe I didn't say anything about this when you posted it, but Hey's character in Farscape was a living, humanoid, plant. Liked to stand naked in the sunlight, and very much a one-with-everything, spiritualistic type. In other words, not much unlike Hey herself.

I used to like Farscape. I think I phased out of it during the second series - I certainly don't recognise the character played by Hugh Keays-Byrne. It's occasionally repeated over here, I may rewatch it. I didn't know ol' bluey was a plant.

I never watched Farscape, in fact I'm not sure I had heard of it before this but I have seen Ms Hey naked in something else so perhaps I should pay more attention.
