It was effectively rebooted in about 2005, and has been very popular again over here since then. My wife and kids like it, I don't (never have, not even back in the day). But having Malcolm Fucking Tucker as the doctor is quite intriguing.

I have never felt the slightest inclination towards Dr. Who, in any incarnation. Not sure why. Maybe if I ever watched a full episode, I'd feel differently.

I think that was David Tennant. About 2 seasons into his tenure I stopped watching regularly - too much Rose (Piper). I watched a bit again when Donna was the companion, and then some of the Amy Pond/River Song story (which I thought had some promise), but I just couldn't get back into it.
