Lillyhammer

Great song? Good show? Bad movie? What should be enjoyed and what should be avoided.

Lillyhammer

To quote someone or other:
"Lillyhammer (Season Three) — No date has been set yet for its return, but it has been confirmed that a third season of Lillyhammer will air in 2014. The series, which stars Steven van Zandt as Frank Tagliano — a mob fixer exiled to Norway in a witness protection program — is co-produced with a Norwegian broadcaster, and is apparently a decent-sized hit worldwide. Heading into the third season, Tagliano is continuing in his old ruthless ways, using blackmail, extortion and violence to expand his influence in Lillihammer’s criminal underworld."

I love the idea of Lillihammer having a "criminal underworld", this is Norway the most law abiding country on Earth and Lillihammer is a tiny place. Very picturesque though.

Edit to add: Hmm, Lillehammer is bigger than I thought with about 20,000 of a population. It feels a lot smaller.
Get it up ye.

It doesn't sound nearly as dangerous as Midsomer.

According to the Wikipedia page, filming of the third season began on January 3.

We get the seventh episode of the second series this coming Thursday.

I thought the Roy Aass character was great in the first series. Now that he's a buffoon in the second series, not so much.

The Thomas Aune character is good this series.

I've got this in my Netflix queue, but haven't gotten around to watching it yet. It looks like a pretty good show and has some decent reviews.

Yes, it is the least threatening looking place I've ever been, other than tiny bucolic villages. Like Midsomer . . .

As I see it, I'm surprised there are any people left alive in Midsomer.

God's Holy Trousers, they killed Thomas Aune! All my favourite characters are getting killed off. Except Roy Aase, and he's turned into the court jester this series.
