Latvia has just been described as represented by a woman who looks like a novelty toilet brush and I find that hard to argue with. She sings like a bad Kate Bush tribute act.

Romania sing in English the way I sing in Romanian. Couldn't have been worse.

Spanish mindy sings in spanish, which is never a good idea but she has just stripped down to a fairly revealing (by Eurovision standards) dress. Will do badly but beat us.

Hungary with a tedious social justice dirge.

Georgia (the country not the state) has a strident Goth shouting random phrases in english. But hotpants = votes. As do the boots.

Azerbaijan with key changes, modern dance and a bit too much sturm und drang.

Russia: an ironing board disguised as a Marilyn Monroe lookalike pleads for tolerance? Shove it up yer jackski.

Albania has a by the number Eurovision song sung by a plunging neckline. I know this is becoming a theme but why didn't the Turks just sort out the Balkans once and for all? The Byzantines showed them how. Fire and sword, just ride through with fire and sword. It isn't difficult.

Italy gets all operatic and closes the show. Not as bad as it sounds and it always pays to be near the end.
