Armageddon (1998)

Good show? Bad movie? What should be watched and what should be avoided.

Armageddon (1998)

Say what you will about, I still think it's a great movie.

And as I sit here now and rewatch it, for probably the dozenth time, I am shocked (SHOCKED I say!) to find it actually contains a blooper. Who could ever imagine?

Early in the movie, when Harry (Bruce Willis) learns that A.J. (Ben Affleck) ran the drill rig the previous night, he throws his golf club into the South China Sea in a fit of rage. Then, a few minutes later, he uses the same golf club to pick up Grace's (Liv Tyler) bra and then move the blanket concealing her.

I can't believe such an accurate and true to reality masterpiece such as Armageddon could get such a thing wrong.

So it is a simple oversight, it's not like it was the end of the world or something...

I watched it once when it came out, and I haven't quite recovered yet. I do not remember everything, but I remember how in one scene,

1 ON the actual asteroid,
2 standing on the GROUND in the glaring counterlight,
3 SCATTERED by THICK VAPORS in the ATMNOSPHERE,
4 you can actually make out the GRASS they are standing on...

I very much like some Bruce Willis films.
