Call Me Fitz

Great song? Good show? Bad movie? What should be enjoyed and what should be avoided.

Call Me Fitz

It's one step above a cartoon, but I think it's hilarious.

Filmed in Nova Scotia, this award-winning Canadian television show centres on Richard Fitzpatrick, one of the sleasiest individuals you're ever likely to come across, coming from a long line of similarly sleazy ancestors. Most of the time, he sells used cars, hoping one day to open his own nightclub. He also constantly chases women, with varying degrees of success, and ran for city council after his nightclub was served with a demolition notice on its opening night.

If you're looking for sophisticated art, this show is not for you. But again, I think it's hilarious.

Seems in your country, it was on the "101 Network" now the "Audience Network".

The last episode (it's not clear to me whether the show has been definitively cancelled) aired on December 2nd, 2013. I just mention it now because FX is airing it here right now (in fact, I am watching it at this very moment).

I think my favourite character would have to be Dot Foxley, who is a bit of a cross between Selina Meyer and Peg Bundy.

I didn't know Jason Priestley was Canuckistani. Never seen it in the UK but I'll look out for it.

I did a search for it by title, which should have found it anywhere if it were on in the next 2 weeks. I can set a trap for it though, which would catch it if it ever does show up.
