Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande is an up and coming young singer who I've been aware of but didn't know much about. She hosted and performed on this week's Saturday Night Live.

There was a skit (below) where she was an intern at a streaming service that was losing its feeds, so they asked her to step in and sing the parts of various artists. If you don't have time to watch the whole 5 1/2 minutes, at least fast-forward to 3:50 and watch the last minute and a half.

I am now a fan. I love this girl. This performance really moved me. Very powerful.

I've seen her, somewhere, I can't think where, but her very youngish appearance (even younger than she actually is) struck me.

I have heard that she's quite a diva.

I think she's 22 now. I guess she got her start on Nickelodeon when she was much younger.

What did you think of the singing? I am amazed by her set of pipes.

Not sure that I remember, and I haven't watched the video here (and can't really watch it now). I'll give it a try later.

All I know about the young lady is that she licks doughnuts. And that once her Starbucks sponsorship ends she'll revert to being Ariana Medium.

Oh sheesh! "maliciously licked" Like I said, I don't know much about her. I can forgive young and stupid though. I've licked my share of doughnuts in my day.
