Cyndi and I recently started watching
Futurama.
After one of the episodes we watched last night, I finally understand Mactep's sig from a while back.
Zoidberg: All 6,000 hulls have been breached!
Fry: Oh, the fools! If only they'd built it with 6,001 hulls! When will they learn?

Wow, only just started watching it? In that case.

Yeah, I know...
If I'm going to start watching an older show I prefer to start with Season 1 Episode 1 and then watch them in order. Until recently, no one was showing them that way. You could catch a few here and there but that's it. I think we even tried watching 1 or 2 that way but without the origin story it was hard to follow.
Recently, SyFy started showing them all so I picked it up. The first few really cracked Cyndi up. It can get pretty funny sometimes.

I love it - very funny, and some good sci-fi bits in it too.

Is it weird that a hand-drawn Katey Sagal is kinda hot?

No, that’s a normal response.

How could you draw a non-hot Katey Sagal?

I did not know, but with a little quick Google work (and it had to be quick, my boat to the Land of No Google leaves in 29 minutes), I learned that you once could “double your pleasure!” with them.

The Sagal sisters, Liz and Jean. Katey's younger sisters.
They had a crummy sitcom in the 1980s. And Liz was in the band on Howard the Duck.

As you may have noticed, I have a few Futurama themed avatars in rotation. But you know what? If you do a Bing image search on "animated Futurama gif", you don't find much besides a myriad of images of a naked Leela having sex with just about anything or anyone imaginable.

Well, we shouldn't really expect the internet to be any less smutty than the minds of the underfucked pimply nerds who make it run.

But you can still be smutty and be an overfucked grey nerd without pimples too.

Thread necromancy, but been rewatching it and it has the best ever science nerd joke. When they use a "quantum finish" (as a photo finish kind of thing) to declare the winner at a horse race, Professor Farnsworth complains No fair! You changed the outcome by measuring it!"

I remember that one.
