Fun with LaTeX

Code: Select all
Package Fancyhdr Warning: \headheight is too small (95.12885pt):
 Make it at least 95.12994pt.
We now make it that large for the rest of the document.
This may cause the page layout to be inconsistent, however.

That 0.00109pt discrepancy (about 0.000015in or 0.00038mm) between the size of the header file I was including and the space I reserved for it, was really causing a lot of problems in my document layout.

I think your people went metric, when you defined an inch to be exactly 2.54cm!

Somehow I am reminded of one of wring's favorite stories. She went into a Staples or someplace to have a document copied, but she asked the store clerk if she could reduce it by half. In all seriousness, the girl said, "Oh, sorry, we can only do percents."

So, if I may anticipate, wring asked for 50% instead, but acted very disappointed, and suggested that perhaps they should introduce this new capability in the future?

Actually it was such a stunning moment, I think all she got out was, "Well, try 50% and we'll see if that works for us."

And I hope later, there was a complaint that although you asked for 50%, they actually reduced it by half instead.

Oh, we've extracted our pound of flesh in having the story to tell over and over.
