It was only for about 10 min that the son and I could watch it - it was a really nice day, but it's very rare our horizons here aren't at least a bit murky. We tried to see it again tonight. It had been a nice sunny and cold day, but the evening horizon was just too souped out.
Stil, we noted solemnly that on March 15, 2013, my son had watched his first comet. I was rather touched actually.
