Kuiper Belt

Postby Мастер » Mon Mar 28, 2016 5:31 am

So, I was cruising Wikipedia, and came across this.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuiper_belt#Structure

The page layout may depend on your browser, screen size, etc. But, on my screen, near the "Structure" heading, there is a picture, with the caption, "Dust in the Kuiper belt creates a faint infrared disc". The picture itself - well, it shows some unidentified person.

What is the significance of this person? Is he covered in dust from the Kuiper belt? Glowing from the faint infrared radiation given off by the aforementioned disc? Some other reason?

No trees were killed in the posting of this message.
However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Ah. Got it.

I guess there wasn't enough contrast between the "play" button and the dark background for my tired eyes to see it :)

It is a film of a guy wearing Kuiper pants, and the belt holds them up.

I had some turkish coffee in a Melbourne restaurant back in the 1980s once. Kuiper yer awake all night.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

If you are seeing an apparent paradox, that means you are missing something.
