I'll be cheering for Germany over Russia for the gold on Sunday!

That’s very cool indeed. I will too, though I would have anyway.

Do you guys believe the U.S. won GOLD in Curling? Who'da thunk it?

That has style, especially putting it in the form of a travel advisory. I think Canada beating us at soccer would be even worse, though, because Germany fielded their top team, and Canada did not, owing to NHL greed.

OAR 4 - 3 Germany
in the Olympic ice hockey final.

Gosh, we had them by the balls. But I guess if you manage to score a minute from time while being one man down, you deserve the win.

I am on call this night, standing in for a heavily infuenza'd colleague, and I witnessed our last goal and the late equalizer while busy drawing blood. It was quite the youth hostel atmosphere except I was thirty years younger than everyone else.

Yes, when Germany allowed the tying goal while on a power play with a minute left in regulation time, I figured OAR would get it.
But still an amazing result for Germany. Congratulations! :D/

Well done! :=D:

And a big congratulations to Norway, having achieved the best results in the history of the winter games. Good job!

And with only five million people, which makes their achievement all the more astonishing.

Incidentally, Norway is also the country where most people, especially olympic athletes, suffer from severe asthma. The Norwegian delgeation had 6000 cans of asthma inhalant in their luggage. Poor sods, them.

Can you believe it:

1. FC Nürnberg 0 - 2 SpVgg Greuther Fürth

We win away to the top team of the League, and it's a derby win. I am not scheduled to meet my in-laws any time soon, but I'll miss no opportunity to give them a broad grin.

Hertha 1 - 0 down away to Schalke, which is business as usual.

Played 138, won 55, drawn 31, lost 52.

Schalke 04 1 - 0 Hertha BSC

One point from two away matches agsinst top teams is more than we could expect. And the rest odf the teams in mediocrityland played for us, so we are still in 11th.

Rangers 4 - 1 Falkirk in ra Cup. A straightforward victory over a team a division below, so let’s not get too excited.

Played 139, won 55, drawn 31, lost 53.

Hertha goalless against Freiburg. So tha last fourgames gave us two points and zero goals. They really are toying with another slide into relegation. Hamburg and Cologne are pretty much booked, but we all remember, don't we, how Herha managed to land on 16th and then squandered the relegation playoffs..

<somebody> <some goals> - <less goals> Ross County

A useful template, that. Relegation looms ever closer.

Played 142, won 56, drawn 32, lost 54.

Aye, it’s happening a bit too often for comfort.

Old firm Derby later, I’m not hopeful, I’d take a draw.

FC Erzgebirge Aue 2 - 1 SpVgg Greuther Fürth

Back to 15th, three of relegation play-offs, five off direct relegation. It's a tight life.

Played 146, won 57, drawn 33, lost 57.

Oh yeah, admire the cosmic balance
