Do international friendlies count? I can't remember. There have been some recently.

I don't think we count friendlies, even when we win.

No, friendlies were discounted. We had this discussion on the first Internsationals play dayy of the season.

Over here, play is off due to Good Friday. There is the German pseudo-Clásico (Bayern-Dortmund) tomorrow. Berlin are at home to Wolfsburg, who are below then in the table and deeply in crisis (the should be CL wannabes judging from their budget), so watch out for a bitter defeat. Greuther at home to Union, who are a lot better, soagain... nothing much to expect from this side of the North Sea.

Hertha 0 - 0 Wolfsburg, yawn. Apparently, it was an exciting match day, only in Berlin it wasn't. 9 points away from Europe, 11 above relegation playoffs.

Counting mine and Heid's games,

Played 149, won 57, drawn 35, lost 57.

ETA: It was gooalless, not 2 - 2

SpVgg Greuther Fürth 2 - 1 1. FC Union Berlin

That gives us 7 points of fuck-up space before a direct relegation placement, but only 2 above relegation playoffs. It's a tight league: The fourth-placed team is only 6 points ahead of the 16th placed team. There is a lot that can happen here during the remaining 6 match days, and given our fuck-up history, it may well happen to us.

Thanks, Arneb, I hadn't registered that. In my defence, I was extremely tired.

Checking out the details of our Sellick match, it looks like they got a dodgy penalty (as they often do) and they broke our goalkeeper. Our captain misses the next two games for a straight red card, but as he earned it by stamping on the goolies of the biggest arsehole in Scottish football it's a net gain.

Indeed, one or more people should do that to him daily.

Several Sellick fans of my acquaintance: Of course the Scotland team should be full of Sellick players, they're the best in Scotland.
Heid: I can't wait to see Scott Brown* back in a Scotland jersey.
SSfoma: Ah, yes . . .

*Scott Brown, Sellick captain and goolie stampee above has retired from international fitba' to concentrate on his club career.

Ross County 4 (yes, FOUR!) - 0 Partick Thistle

We’re off the bottom of the table! Briefly, probably, but still.

Played 152, won 59, drawn 35, lost 58.

FC Heidenheim 0 - 0 SpVgg Fürth

We won't complain about winning a point abroad. Given the tight league table, that single point propelled us upward 5 places, from 14th to 9th. By the same mechanism, we could be down to 16th again at the end of the match day.

Played 153, won 59, drawn 36, lost 58.

Hertha away to Mönchengladbach (extra cigar to anyone pronouncing it correctly) today, usually a certain defeat with a lot of goals to the opposition, so don't expect any positive contribution to The Count from here today.

Hertha BSC 2 - 1 1. FC Köln

We almost, but not quite, managed to fuck it up again against the team in last place. Due to Hamburg's loss in Hoffenheim, Hertha has now avoided direct relegation to the Zweite Bundesliga, but with a minimum of 9 points above the relegation playoff spot (4 matches to go), we could still fuck that up, of course.

Played 158, won 61, drawn 37, lost 60.

The rent is almost paid, nearly there.

We have a cup semi against the scummy Sellick tomorrow, they should win but who knows. Our chairman is demeaning our manager in the press and the club is in disarray, no problem then. :)

So no news on that front. Talkative chairmen and board members are a ubiquitous pest here as well. They have ruined many a glorious club. Our two bottom feeders at the moment, Cologne and Hamburg, can sing a long ballad on that theme. Both are multiple German Champions, even European Champions, and they are both smoking ruins now.

Which is pretty uplifting on weekends like this.

Sellick fans are convincing themselves that Rangers will be relegated next season on the basis we're shite. Which we are but they can't see that they really aren't much better.
