R.I.P. Doris Day

I never quite appreciated her art, but then I am really stupid with films. She is one of the people I never realized were still alive. But there she was, alive and kicking, scoring a Top 10 album at 92.

At Wikipedia I read she was offered the role of Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate - She refused, probably because itwould have dented her sowmewhat bland and outdated spick-and-spam, always-smiling All-American wholesome housewife image. It's a risky business, being a Hollywood star.

A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

If you are seeing an apparent paradox, that means you are missing something.
