I would tend to think that coming up so quickly and being tender to the touch means it's more likely a benign, fluid-filled cyst. Is it near the surface? Is the pain from pressure? Is the skin red?

I'm addicted to Mythbusters. The early shows were really about busting myths, but lately, it's been about arguing bad science in movies and whatnot and blowing things up. It may be a combination of running out of myths to bust and people like watching things blow up. I don't read their message boar...
